GNB’s warranty depends on the battery type, but for automotive AGM (SLA/AGM) batteries, GNB provides a 24-month (2-year) warranty.

How a warranty claim works:

Bring (or ship) the battery to GNB’s Hamilton warehouse with the original receipt.
GNB checks voltage and may charge and retest for 2–3 days before completing a load test decision.
If it fails the load test, a replacement is issued. Warranty coverage on the replacement is based on the original purchase date.

How do I find my car battery size?

To find your car battery size, you’re usually looking for the battery group size, plus the right CCA rating for your climate.

Fastest ways to find your car battery size

Check the label on your current battery
Look for a code like H5 / H6 / H7, Group 24F, 35, 48, 65, etc.
That code is the “size” most people mean when they ask this question.

Check your owner’s manual

Many manuals list the recommended battery group size and minimum CCA.

What is battery group size?

Battery group size is a standardized fitment code (commonly based on BCI group sizes) that tells you the battery’s physical dimensions (length/width/height) and often the terminal layout/position—so the battery fits your tray and cables properly.

Why it matters:

The wrong group size may not physically fit, won’t clamp down correctly, or the cables may not reach.
Same group size ≠ same performance: you can have multiple CCA options within the same group size.

Can I install a higher CCA battery than my vehicle recommends?

In most cases, yes. Installing a battery with a higher CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) than the vehicle’s minimum recommendation is safe and can improve cold-weather starting. The starter will only draw the current it needs.

What you must match (this is where people go wrong):

Voltage (typically 12V for most passenger vehicles)
